People attending Verona Tessile had an opportunity to help sew a patchwork blanket for Giulietta, as in Romeo and Juliet.

juliet's house and balcony |
Her house on Via Cappello was set up with sewing machines from Bernina.
Participants, including children, men and women, embellished squares of fabric using the free motion technique. The finished blocks were spread out on the floor.
A member of Ad Maiora will sew the blocks together and present the blanket to the city.
